Job description

Nossi College of Art & Design is looking for energetic and qualified adjunct faculty members specifically for a newly developed course – Designing for Socials.

Course Description

Unlock the power of visual storytelling with our comprehensive course, "Designing for Social." This course equips students with essential skills to create compelling graphic content for popular social media platforms.

Learn fundamental design principles, master industry-standard software such as Canva, and develop platform-specific strategies for (including, but not limited to) Instagram, Facebook, X (formally known as Twitter), LinkedIn, Pinterest, and Tik Tok.

Enhance brand identity through consistent visual elements and explore current design trends to maximize engagement. With project-based learning and real-world assignments, students will build a strong portfolio and gain confidence in designing striking social media graphics that elevate brand presence and drive user interaction.

Applicants should possess strong interpersonal skills, a passion for teaching, and the ability to effectively communicate with students to help them achieve their educational goals. Must be able to work collegially in a team environment. Our classes meet once a week for four hours. Our classes begin at 8 am, 1 pm and 6 pm. Our classes are scheduled on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays. Our studios are open 8 am-10 pm Mon-Thur and 9 am-4 pm on Fridays.

We are a commercial bachelor's degree program located in Nashville, TN. We are in search of professionals with a minimum of a bachelor's degree in Marketing or a closely related field, with at least five years of professional experience. Our goal is to hire instructors who have experience in the classes we’ll ask them to teach. Specialization is important so the students can learn best practices. Each course will meet once a week for 4 hours. The curriculum is laid out for each course on a week-by-week basis in our education portal called Moodle. All of the grade tabulation is done electronically. Quizzes are embedded in the portal and graded automatically, so your out-of-classroom commitment is limited. What's important:

  • Foster a creative and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and critical thinking.
  • Provide constructive feedback on student work and support their artistic development
