Job description

Sequential Art Instruction

Nossi College of Art & Design is reviewing candidates for our Fall 2025 start. The instructor will guide students to create illustration in the narrative form, including storyboarding video productions, television commercials, and feature films. Students will also explore Concept Art to convey visual representation of design, idea and/or mood for use in films, video games, animation or comic books prior to final art.

Anatomy & Figure Drawing

An instructor will guide students weekly by drawing a figure model in class. The structure of the human body is taught by observing the skeleton. Understanding bone structure is essential to drawing the human figure accurately with emphasis on muscular development. Upon completion, students will produce professional drawings of anatomically correct figures, depict chiaroscuro, and emphasize value and placement using pencil, charcoal, pastel, conté and other mediums.

Basic Drawing

A drawing instructor will guide students through hands‑on practice, focusing on foundational techniques: shapes, proportions, perspective, line quality and form. Students will explore shading, depth, and texture, producing high‑quality sketches with techniques such as hatching and blending.

Color Theory

A color theory instructor will guide students through practical exercises on color relationships, color wheel, hue, saturation, value, harmonies and contrasts. Students will develop color schemes and apply color to evoke mood and depth with watercolor, acrylic, digital tools and other materials.
