This position reports to the Dean of the School of Humanities, Art & Design.
The responsibilities of this position comprise teaching undergraduate level courses in History or Political Science for a variety of programs such as Early College and Second Chance Pell. As an Adjunct faculty member, the post holder is expected to participate actively in curriculum development and assessment, advise students, perform all duties professionally and ethically, and support the policies and mission of the University.

Minimum Education – MA in History, Political Science, or a closely related field from a regionally accredited institution.
Documented Excellence in Teaching – Minimum of two years of documented excellence teaching History, Political Science, or closely related fields.
Preferred Education – A Ph.D. from a regionally accredited institution in History is preferred.
Experience and Skills
Light office and community work requiring minimal physical effort: intermittent sitting, standing, climbing stairs, walking inclines. Must lift 20 pounds, walk campus with ease, possess excellent motor skills and finger dexterity, and communicate information clearly.
Part‑time, exempt position. Depending on project cycles, schedule changes may occur. Must be willing and able to work occasional nights, weekends, and varying schedules. Observe all safety and health regulations, report unsafe acts or conditions in a timely manner, and perform any other duties assigned by the Dean of the School of Humanities, Art & Design.
