The ideal candidate will join a vibrant educational community and have a desire and ability to serve a population of students with various needs and backgrounds. The candidate is expected to commit to excellence in teaching and learning, collaboration and professional development. Adjunct faculty are expected to deliver course materials in a learner-centered environment conductive to engaging students in the learning process. The faculty member in this position communicates consistently and effectively with students, faculty and administrators, and responds to communications within a 24 hour period. The faculty is responsible for managing this course through timely grading of assignments, providing substantial student feedback with assignments, and submission of clinical evaluations, attendance and grades.
Faculty members are responsible for developing educational and evaluation materials consistent with the philosophy and framework of the program, MassBay Community College and in accordance with National Institute of Automotive Service Excellence. The faculty member is responsible for maintaining all current ASE certifications. MassBay Community College invites applicants for an Automotive Instructor. MassBay is seeking a dynamic, articulate, proven team player with an ability to manage a positive teaching/learning classroom in Automotive Technology. This position at the rank of Adjunct Instructor will begin in September 2026.

Salary Range: $1,512 - $1,715 per DCE Credit
