Qualifications

  • ASE Certifications required or implied for program duties.
  • 5 years of field or work experience in automotive services.
  • Proven oral and written communication and experience with electronic communication.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and teach undergraduate courses for a two-year automotive service technician program.
  • Maintain a professional teaching learning environment.
  • Maintain ASE accreditation for the program and teach ASE standards.
  • Manage classroom and shop/lab to ensure a productive and safe learning environment.
  • Promote college programs and enhance community relationships.
  • Serve on College committees as elected or appointed.
  • Select and recommend suitable instructional materials and textbooks.
  • Use technology to communicate and enhance classroom learning.
  • Maintain paperwork and documentation required by MassBay.
  • Collaborate with faculty, staff and students on equity initiatives.
