The County College of Morris Foundation is seeking an Adjunct Faculty member for Italian. This role is fundamental in creating a dynamic teaching and learning environment while teaching assigned courses aligned with the department's guidelines.
Candidates must hold a Master’s degree in Italian or a related field and demonstrate native or near-native fluency in Italian. Prior teaching experience is preferred. This position requires responsibilities both in classroom instruction and potentially participating in departmental initiatives.

All adjunct faculty positions have as their primary objective to create a dynamic teaching/learning environment for our students, while contributing service to the college. Adjunct faculty responsibilities include teaching assigned courses and following the course description and course outline established by the department. Teaching schedules may include day/evening courses and online/hybrid instruction. In accordance with the Adjunct Faculty collective bargaining agreement (CBA), additional responsibilities may include participation in departmental initiatives, such as assessment, and responding to requests regarding grades, grade submissions, and other course‑related content.
A minimum of a Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution in Italian (Literature or Linguistics), Italian/European Area Studies, or related field.
Prior college or university teaching experience preferred.
Native or near-native fluency in Italian. Demonstrated knowledge of language teaching and learning methodologies and techniques. Familiarity with learning management systems desired. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
