Job Description

The English Department invites applications for adjunct instructors to teach undergraduate English courses in composition (and possibly literature). Adjunct instructors design courses and syllabi that conform to University and Department requirements and expectations, plan and execute lessons, grade assignments, and respond to student needs in person or electronically. At least one-year college-level teaching experience in the field is preferred.

As a part of your application, please submit a cover letter, a curriculum vitae/resume, unofficial copies of transcripts from schools attended, and contact information for three references.

All courses will be held in person.

Responsibilities
  1. Design courses and syllabi that conform to University and Department requirements and expectations
  2. Plan and execute lessons
  3. Grade assignments, essays, etc.
  4. Respond to student needs in person or electronically
Qualifications
  1. A Master's degree in English or a related discipline with at least 18 graduate credit hours in English is required
  2. At least one year of college-level teaching experience in the field is preferred
