Job Summary

The Department of English is seeking qualified adjunct faculty to teach First Year Writing courses, in particular ENGL 101 Critical Thinking in Academic Reading and Writing I and ENGL 102 Critical Thinking in Academic Reading and Writing II. We are looking for dedicated, dependable, Christian individuals who love students and love teaching and preferably have some teaching experience.

Job Duties
  • Instruct students in the course
  • Perform duties associated with instructing and assessing student progress in a timely manner, including grading, required record keeping based on university guidelines, timely communication, and conferencing
  • Use strong organizational and time management skills to teach well-prepared classes
  • Mentor and nurture students with a compassionate Christlike spirit for the purpose of supporting and encouraging them academically and spiritually
Minimum Requirements

Master’s degree with 18 graduate semester hours in English, Writing, or related discipline

Salary Schedule

Salary is based upon a per course fee as determined by the University. No benefits are offered for this position.
