We are seeking qualified adjuncts for the Department of English andCommunication to teach ENG -111: Composition I, which emphasizesthe fundamentals of written communications including expositoryprose, reading comprehension and interpretation, and rhetoricalmodes. All adjunct faculty positions have as their primary objective tocreate a dynamic teaching/learning environment for our students,while contributing service to the college. Adjunct faculty teachassigned courses in alignment with the course description andcourse outline established by the department. Composition Isections run two-days a week on Mon/Wed, Tue/Thu, Mon/Thu, andWed/Fri. Daytime (between 8am-5pm) and evening sections (after 5pm)are available.
Master’s Degree in English is required. A doctorate and/orlicensure in a specific discipline preferred and may be requireddepending on the discipline.
Prior college or university teaching experience preferred, as isevidence of scholarly and/or professional activities.
Ability to work with students of multimodal learning styles anddiverse levels of writing experience and preparation. Strong verbaland written communication skills.
