Job Description

Instruct engineering mechanics courses for students in LCCC’s Manufacturing Engineering Technology programs, including but not limited to Statics and Engineering Materials. Facilitate courses with a hands‑on component designed to enhance problem‑solving skills and applied learning. Deliver course offerings that may occur during day, evening, and/or weekend hours.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using computers to post syllabi, grades, and attendance.
  • Commitment to adhering to college policies and procedures.
  • Responsiveness to student inquiries and requests for assistance.
  • Active participation in the assessment of student academic achievement.
  • Attendance at Fall Convocation and/or adjunct faculty development sessions.
  • Fulfillment of all contracted hours as scheduled.
  • Ability to utilize modern educational technology, including multimedia‑based instruction.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or closely related field.
  • Proven experience in teaching at the community college level.
  • Familiarity with the Canvas Learning Management System.

Employees should reside in Ohio, where they can be responsive to on‑campus work requirements, and within a reasonable commuting distance of their work location.
