Job summary

Southcentral KY Community & Technical College is seeking an Adjunct Faculty member to deliver online, classroom and lab instruction in Electrical Technology, covering topics such as Electric Motor Controls, Rotating Machinery, Transformers and the National Electric Code. The role supports student learning through practical demonstrations and assessments.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree and related work experience required.
  • License in Kentucky State Electrician or Master Electrician preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide online, classroom and lab instruction in Electrical Technology topics.
  • Evaluate and supervise students; collaborate with faculty and staff.
  • Organize instruction with course outlines, objectives and instructional materials.
  • Develop course curriculum, handouts, lectures, labs and presentations.
  • Demonstrate current knowledge for electrical industry applications.
  • Collaborate with faculty to educate and supervise students.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Provide online, classroom and lab instruction in competencies for Electrical Technology classes including but not limited to Electric Motor Controls, Rotating Machinery, Transformers, Programmable Logic Circuits, and/or the National Electric Code.

Job Duties
  • Instruction includes providing an understanding of electrical devices and various electrical circuits, applying the electric code to all types of installations, and teaching how various circuits and systems function.
  • These duties include the evaluation and supervision of students, working collaboratively with faculty and staff.
  • Organizes instruction in classrooms and laboratories as stated in our course outlines, learning objectives, competency assessments, and instructional materials such as textbooks, instruction sheets, and/or electronic resources available.
  • Develops course curriculum, course handouts, lectures, lab exercises, and presentations prior to scheduled course times.
  • Demonstrate current knowledge required by curriculum for the electrical industry including construction, maintenance, and industrial applications.
  • Work collaboratively with faculty and staff to provide education and supervision to students.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications

Associate degree and related work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Kentucky State Electrician License or Master Electrician License
