Overview

Join to apply for the Adjunct Faculty, Economics role at Seminole State College of Florida.

This posting is for a College Credit Course. This is a pool/temporary, part-time adjunct position, filled based on enrollment. Applications remain active for one academic year and are reviewed by the Department Dean. Applicants must complete the online application and attach required documents as described.

Responsibilities
  • Teach assigned courses, including developing and posting syllabi, preparing and delivering instruction, designing assignments and assessments, grading student work, and providing timely, constructive feedback.
  • Engage in professional development and effectively utilize the College’s Online Learning Management System (CANVAS).
  • Maintain open communication with students, colleagues, and supervisors; contribute to curriculum improvement efforts to enhance student success.
  • Remain current with CANVAS usage as required by departmental guidelines; respond timely to communications from students, colleagues, and supervisors; meet with students individually as needed.
  • Work with other faculty to support curricula improvement to promote student success and mastery of course and program competencies.
Required Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Economics
  • OR Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate hours in Economics

Compensation, Benefits, and Schedule

Adjunct faculty are paid according to Seminole State College’s Non-Bargaining Unit Salary Schedule, based on the instructor’s highest degree earned. This posting is for a College Credit Course. Conditions of Employment

Finalists and individuals recommended for employment must reside in Florida at the time of hire and may be subject to background investigations and fingerprinting in compliance with Florida statutes and College policies. A range of background checks may be conducted.
