Job summary

Harper College’s Radiologic Technology Program seeks an adjunct faculty member to teach mammography and lead clinical education. Qualifications

  • Registered ARRT (R)(M) certification is required.
  • Licensed in Illinois (IEMA) is required.
  • Associate degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Teach one didactic and one mammography course during each fall and spring semesters.
  • Lead/participate in a six-week biweekly didactic course.
  • Lead the clinical education portion of the mammography certificate program for 10 weeks.
  • Maintain commitment to student engagement, success, and instructional excellence.
  • Maintain current teaching methodologies and use varied delivery methods and resources.
  • Maintain expertise and certifications appropriate to teaching responsibilities.
  • Grade and provide timely feedback on all assignments.
  • Respond to student emails/requests within 24 hours.
  • Provide course syllabus with grading standards and policies.
  • Verify student enrollment and submit grades.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Radiologic Technology Program is seeking adjunct faculty tojoin the Radiologic Technology Department as a mammographyinstructor.

Essential Duties
  • Teach one didactic and one mammography courses during each thefall and spring semesters.
  • Lead/participate in a six-week biweekly didactic course.
  • Lead the clinical education portion of the mammographycertificate program for 10 weeks.
  • Possess a commitment to student engagement, student success,and instructional excellence.
  • Maintain current knowledge of effective teaching methodologiesand utilize a variety of instructional delivery methods, classroommedia, and educational resources.
  • Maintain expertise and certifications appropriate to teachingresponsibilities.
  • Grade and provide detailed feedback on all assignments within atimely manner.
  • Actively respond to student emails and requests within 24hours.
  • Provide course syllabus (which shall include grading standards,attendance policies, classroom behavioral expectations, courseoutline and contact information)
  • Verify student enrollment and submit grades
