Job summary

McHenry County College in Crystal Lake, Illinois, seeks an Instructor of Radiology Technology to join its adjunct pool. The position supports the Division of Academic Affairs and the Department of Math, Science, and Health Services by teaching assigned radiology courses and applying modern pedagogy.

Qualifications

• Course specific minimum qualifications are approved annually by the Board of Trustees and are available in all Academic Division Offices.
• Demonstrated teaching experience is preferred.

• Strong communication, organization, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach the assigned class in accordance with the learning objectives and Concourse syllabus using instructional strategies to engage students.
• Develop and manage working syllabus, course materials, and assignments.
• Provide feedback and evaluate students' performance throughout the learning process which could involve being available for student conferences either before or after class, and by College email if necessary.
• Maintain and submit class syllabus, grades and attendance records, and required course related data.
• Use educational technology (i.e. course management platform such as Canvas).
• Assess student learning and submit required reports of assessment results.
• Maintain currency in professional field.
• Work cooperatively within the department, the division, and throughout the College in striving for educational excellence.

Position Summary

This division is home to the following: Radiology Technology. MCC instructors are higher-education professionals who champion student learning.
