Job summary

BRCC seeks an Adjunct Faculty member to teach Cosmetology in Baton Rouge, LA. Responsibilities include delivering assigned courses, possibly in the evening, on weekends, online, and through dual enrollment as needed. Faculty support the college mission and follow College policies.

Applicants must hold an Associate's degree (or equivalent work experience with industry certifications) and a Louisiana Cosmetology Instructor license. A background screen is required.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree and/or work experience in the field of study plus industry-based certifications.
• Cosmetology Instructor license issued by Louisiana State Board of Cosmetology required.
• Passing pre-employment criminal background screen is required.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses as assigned.
• May teach in the evening, weekends, online and dual enrollment courses as needed.
• Support the institution's mission and policies and adhere to the Faculty Handbook.
• Maintain currency in the teaching discipline and report to the program manager and/or department chair.

Adjunct faculty members are responsible for teaching courses as assigned. Adjunct faculty may teach in the evening, weekends, online and dual enrollment courses as needed. Faculty are expected to support the institution's mission and vision and abide by the Faculty Handbook and college-wide policies. Adjunct Faculty are expected to maintain currency in their teaching discipline Adjunct faculty report directly to the academic program manager and/or department chair within their respective departments and divisions.

Required Education:

Associate's degree and/or work experience in the field of study plus industry-based certifications. Also, cosmetology instructor license issued by Louisiana State Board of Cosmetology required.
