BRCC in Baton Rouge, LA seeks an Adjunct Faculty member to teach assigned courses. This part-time role may include evening, weekend, online, and dual enrollment teaching.

Candidates must hold an Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience with industry-based certifications, and must obtain a cosmetology instructor license issued by the Louisiana State Board of Cosmetology. Compliance with college policies and background screening is required.

• Associate’s degree and/or work experience in the field plus industry-based certifications.
• Cosmetology instructor license issued by Louisiana State Board of Cosmetology required.
• Higher education teaching experience preferred.
• Passing pre-employment criminal background screen is required.

Adjunct faculty members are responsible for teaching courses as assigned. Adjunct faculty may teach in the evening, weekends, online and dual enrollment courses as needed. Faculty are expected to support the institution's mission and vision and abide by the Faculty Handbook and college-wide policies. Adjunct Faculty are expected to maintain currency in their teaching discipline Adjunct faculty report directly to the academic program manager and/or department chair within their respective departments and divisions.

Required Education:Associate’s degree and/or work experience in the field of study plus industry-based certifications. Also, cosmetology instructor license issued by Louisiana State Board of Cosmetology required.
