Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Prepare syllabi, assignments, and course materials.
  • Evaluate student work and maintain attendance and records.
  • Provide student coaching and participate in departmental meetings.
  • Adjust teaching schedule based on unit needs.

Job Description
Description
  • Teaches a variety of courses including, but not limited to programming in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, C#, Data analytics database (SQL) and programming languages (Java, C++, Python, Server-Side Scripting.
  • Prepares and delivers learning activities in order to achieve course outcomes
  • Prepares course materials such as syllabi, homework assignments and handouts
  • Evaluates and grades students’ class work, laboratory work, assignments, papers, and examinations
  • Maintains and submits student attendance records, grades and other required documentation by specified deadlines
  • Be available to students for coaching
  • Periodic meetings with supervisors, division, or College, relative to teaching duties and training and development
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years industry/business experience in computer technology
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (or equivalent)
  • Advanced communication (verbal, written and interpersonal) and organizational skills
  • Appropriately responds to the needs of the community
Preferred Qualifications
  • Teaching experience
  • Knowledge of principles and methods of curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for students
  • Logic and reasoning skills to identify solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
  • Experience using a learning management system to deliver distance learning courses

Pay Rate: $951/Equated Semester Unit (ESU)
