Job Description

Wheaton College invites applications for a part-time Adjunct Professor in Computer Science for the Fall 2026 semester. Applicants are required to have at least a Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related field, as well as experience teaching undergraduate courses for a computer science major. The primary teaching assignment for this position is a sophomore-level course in Data Structures and Algorithms (CSCI 345— see catalog description). This course entails three 70-minute lecture sections and one 110-minute laboratory section each week, all meeting in-person, and accounting for a five credit hour faculty load. Students taking this course have prior experience in Java, C, and Python. Additional teaching assignments are possible depending on departmental needs and applicants’ expertise.
