Candidates should possess expertise in Classical guitar performance and pedagogy. The faculty member selected will be expected to conduct and teach students in 100 and 200-level applied instruction lessons in Classical guitar on both the credit and community education side of the Music Department. Other responsibilities can include directing and/or developing ensembles that are academically beneficial and relevant to our community of students, and various departmental responsibilities including advising, outreach and recruitment.## Responsibilities**Starting Pay Rate:** $45 per hour of instruction (increase to $55 starting Fall 2025)**Responsibilities of the position:*** Teach both credit and community education students in 100 and 200-level applied instruction lessons in Classical guitar.The Department of Music at Harper College is committed to creating an inclusive educational experience that fosters creativity, expression, and a supportive musical community for students of varying cultures, backgrounds and interests.
