Waubonsee Community College is seeking a Part-time Adjunct Faculty member for Ceramics at the Sugar Grove Campus. The ceramics course runs 1/19/2027-5/14/2027 on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6:30-9:15pm, in Sugar Grove. Responsibilities

• Designing syllabi, lessons, activities,assignments, and assessments to meet the established course description as wellas program, course, and college learning outcomes and/or objectives whileaddressing each student’s needs as diverse learners.
• Meeting all college deadlines for submission ofattendance, grades and data collection for assessment of student learning.
• Incorporating learning-centered principles andconcepts while motivating students to actively participate in their educationalexperiences.
• Integrating instructional and classroom technology(if applicable) appropriately and effectively to deliver and enhance teachingand learning.
• Working collaboratively with professionalcolleagues to serve the needs of students and the community.
• Modeling professionalism with excellentcommunication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Minimum Qualifications

Master'sdegree in Art or a Masters Degree in a related field with 18 graduate hours inArt, ceramics, or related.

Preferred Experience

• Teaching ceramics or a related field at a Community College or Vocational/Technicalinstitution.
• UtilizingLearning Management Systems.
• Teaching at a Community College orVocational/Technical institution.
• Teaching traditionally underserved populations.
• Incorporating technology and multimedia applications into teaching and learningprocess.
• Teaching in multiple instructional modalities.
