Adjunct Faculty, BSN-Pediatrics Instructor

Stanbridge University is seeking a qualified faculty member to instruct in Pediatrics for the BSN Program. The role involves delivering didactic and clinical instruction, assessing student performance, and promoting student satisfaction and retention. The faculty reports to the Director of the BSN Program and is responsible for maintaining documentation and adhering to university policies.

Essential Functions
  1. Deliver clinical and theory instruction effectively using provided course materials.
  2. Develop engaging teaching methods to enhance clinical judgment and student participation.
  3. Evaluate students' clinical competency applying the clinical judgment model and theoretical principles.
  4. Facilitate learning experiences that integrate theory with practical application in patient care management.
  5. Assess student work promptly and provide constructive feedback.
  6. Ensure patient safety and compliance with clinical agency policies.
  7. Lead clinical discussions and reflections as a clinical resource.
  8. Create a professional environment fostering accountability, flexibility, passion, and integrity.
  9. Maintain accurate records, submit grades on time, and participate in departmental meetings.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution, including coursework in nursing, education, or administration.
  • At least four years of full-time or equivalent direct patient care experience as a registered nurse in the designated area.
  • Recent (within five years) clinical experience in the nursing area of specialization.
  • Experience teaching nursing courses related to Pediatrics or completion of relevant post-baccalaureate coursework preferred.
  • Valid California RN license.
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Energetic and engaging personality suitable for classroom and clinical instruction.
  • Basic computer literacy and comfort with technology.
  • Up-to-date immunization records.
