Qualifications

  • Terminal degree (Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent) in a biomedical or related field.
  • Demonstrated biomedical research with peer-reviewed publications.
  • Prior experience as PI or co-investigator on federally funded grants.
  • Demonstrated experience in grant administration, including compliance, reporting, and budget management.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills to lead programs and supervise staff.

Responsibilities

  • Teach MCBS 801, MCBS 895, and Doctoral Research sections in the Fall semester.
  • Develop and deliver course lectures and instructional materials for graduate students.
  • Design and administer assessments aligned with learning objectives.
  • Hold regular office hours and provide academic support to enrolled students.
  • Submit grades in accordance with university deadlines and policies.
  • Coordinate with MCBS faculty to ensure curricular alignment.
  • Lead CIBBR grant administration and PI duties, overseeing programmatic and financial aspects.
  • Support MCBS M.S. program operations and curriculum input as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the MCBS Department Chair.
  • Maintain an active grant-funded research program and mentor personnel.
