Virginia's Community College System is seeking adjunct faculty to plan and teach courses in the designated discipline. Instruction may occur face-to-face, remote, or online, with up to 12 credit hours in fall/spring and up to 8 in summer.
The contract contains no guarantee of continued employment. Candidates should have an associate degree in the teaching field from a regionally accredited institution and at least two years of related experience.
Adjunct faculty members are responsible for effectively planning and teaching courses in the designated discipline/field of study to students from a variety of academic backgrounds. Teaching may be delivered in face‑to‑face, remote, or online formats. Adjunct faculty are employed to teach up to 12 credit hours in the fall and spring semesters and up to 8 credit hours in the summer session. The contract contains no expectation or guarantee of continued employment.
Must reside in the DC, VA, or MD DMV area.
