Job description

Adjunct/Art and Music Instructor

Adjunct/Art and Music instructor in The Communication and the Arts Department at Mercy University. The department seeks part‑time, adjunct instructors to teach general education courses to undergraduate students.

Responsibilities

Teach up to three sections of any given course, with emphasis in Music and Art, with a maximum of three course assignments per semester.

Commit to teaching with inclusive excellence, assist with program assessment and development, and attend selected programmatic or professional development meetings.

Schedule: Day and evening teaching opportunities.

Location: Courses may be offered at the Dobbs Ferry, Manhattan, or Bronx campuses, or online.

Qualifications
  • Master’s or Doctorate from an accredited institution in an appropriate academic discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience successfully teaching general education, Communication, Media, Music, or Arts courses at the college level.
