Department of Interdisciplinary Team Projects (Evergreen) Adjunct

Located in Redmond, Washington, DigiPen Institute of Technology is a private college that offers undergraduate degree programs in Computer Science, Game Design, Digital Audio and Music, Computer Engineering, and Digital Art and Animation, as well as Master’s degree programs in Computer Science and Digital Art. Position: Adjunct Faculty – Department of Interdisciplinary Team Projects

Reports to: Department of Interdisciplinary Team Projects

Interdisciplinary Team Projects are a cornerstone of the DigiPen experience and play a central role in the curriculum, fostering the collaborative production environment that defines the institution's approach to education. Through these projects, students work alongside peers from a variety of disciplines to tackle complex challenges, develop innovative solutions, and gain meaningful, real-world production experience. This hands‑on, team-based approach helps students build the communication, collaboration, problem‑solving, and project management skills essential for success in both their academic pursuits and future careers.

The Department of Interdisciplinary Team Projects at DigiPen Institute of Technology invites applications for potential future positions as Adjunct Faculty – Interdisciplinary Team Projects Instructor. Faculty members play a vital role in mentoring and guiding student teams throughout the project lifecycle, helping students apply technical knowledge in collaborative production settings while developing the professional communication, leadership, teamwork, and project management skills essential for success in the games, technology, and digital media industries.

The Animation and Production Department hires adjunct faculty from the pool of pre‑approved adjuncts each semester on an as‑needed basis.

The Department of Interdisciplinary Team Projects is accepting applications for adjunct instructors for courses in:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Extensive knowledge of the subject areas in which the individual is responsible for instruction

Qualifications / Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in ... or related field
  • Relevant academic experience and/or four years of relevant industry experience

  • Team player with ability to solve problems independently
  • Solid grounding in interdisciplinary teaching
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Comfortable with technology
  • Ability to accommodate a wide variety of learning styles, special needs, etc.

Salary Range:

$-,--- – $--,--- per term, depending on credit hours, class size, and faculty rank
