Job summary

MCPHS University is seeking a part-time faculty tutor to support the School of Pharmacy - Boston. The tutor will provide remote and/or in-person tutoring for Doctor of Pharmacy students in the professional phase, including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd years.

Responsibilities include weekly tutoring, session facilitation, individualized feedback, and use of the university LMS for documentation. Additional duties and mentoring may be assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy degree required.
• Commitment to undergraduate, graduate and/or professional education and student success.
• Proficiency with educational and workplace technologies including LMS and Microsoft 365.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Able to work independently and interact with diverse groups.

Responsibilities

• Offer weekly tutoring availability for professional phase PharmD students.
• Facilitate tutoring sessions in-person and/or online.
• Provide individualized feedback related to subject matter competency.
• Use the university LMS and scheduling system to communicate with students and document sessions.
• Provide program feedback on observed student trends and concerns.
• Promote engagement and application of course content with real-world examples.
• Offer student mentoring, ongoing course development, and assessment.
• Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job description

The Center for Academic Success & Enrichment is seeking a part-time faculty (professional) tutor to support the School of Pharmacy - Boston. The selected candidate will offer remote and/or in-person academic tutoring support to students enrolled in the Doctor of Pharmacy program. Support will be provided for professional phase (Professional 1st year, 2nd year, and 3rd year) courses.

• Offer weekly tutoring availability for students enrolled in the professional phase of the Doctor of Pharmacy program
• Facilitate tutoring sessions in an in-person and/or an online/virtual format

• Provide individualized feedback specific to student tutees as it relates to their competency with subject matter
• Use the University's learning management and scheduling system to communicate with students and document sessions
• Provide feedback to the program as it relates to observed student trends, concerns, and the like
• Promotes engagement with and application of course content during sessions as to demonstrate the real-world applications of concepts covered
• Provide service including student mentoring, ongoing course development, and assessment
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
