Adjunct Professor – Exercise Sciences Program
The Center for Natural and Behavioral Sciences at Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia, PA, invites applications for an Adjunct Professor starting in Spring 2025.
Founded by the Sisters of Saint Joseph in 1924, Chestnut Hill College is an independent, Catholic institution dedicated to fostering equality through education. Located in the charming neighborhood of Chestnut Hill in Northwest Philadelphia, the college serves a culturally diverse student body.
The Center for Natural and Behavioral Sciences offers interdisciplinary studies including Biology, Environmental Science, Chemistry, Psychology, Exercise Science, Health Sciences, and Forensics. The center emphasizes a balance of theory and practice through small class sizes and a strong liberal arts environment, providing students with both knowledge and practical experience, including internships.
The Exercise Science program aims to provide students with a strong foundation in human movement sciences, preparing them to promote healthy lifestyles, motivate physical activity, and assist clients in health recovery and functional improvements.
Preference is given to candidates capable of teaching in person, with the possibility of hybrid formats involving at least one in-person class weekly, in collaboration with the department chair. Additional teaching opportunities may include courses like EXSC302 Exercise Physiology and EXSC101 Introduction to Exercise Science in future semesters.
