Southeastern Illinois College is seeking a qualified Adjunct English Instructor to teach in-person developmental English courses during the fall semester. This position involves teaching 1–2 classes over a full 16-week term, focusing on Reading and Developmental English.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable delivering face-to-face instruction and supporting students in building foundational reading and writing skills.
Responsibilities
- Teach 1–2 in-person developmental English courses over a 16-week semester
- Facilitate engaging and effective classroom instruction
- Support student learning and progress in reading and writing skills
- Maintain regular communication with students and provide timely feedback
- Adhere to college policies and academic standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in English or Education
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Experience teaching developmental or remedial English courses
- Strong classroom management and instructional skills
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
$515 per credit hour.
