Job summary

Salt Lake Community College seeks an adjunct instructor to support and aid the Course Coordinator in teaching Emergency Medical Services courses up to EMT/Paramedic level. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States and reside in Utah as required.

Responsibilities include adhering to course outlines, attending required training, maintaining professional conduct, and upholding FERPA/ADA accommodations.

Qualifications

• Basic Emergency Medical Technician or higher certification, currently certified by the Utah Bureau of Emergency Medical Services.
• Two years non-teaching full-time EMS work experience as EMT/Paramedic level.
• Knowledge and experience in Emergency Medical Services.
• Currently certified as an EMS Instructor by the Utah Bureau of Emergency Medical Services.

Responsibilities

• Becomes familiar with, and abides by, all college policies with priority given to those policies governing interactions with colleagues, staff, administrators, and departments.
• Maintains professional etiquette in communications with students, staff, faculty, and administrators.
• Assists in maintaining a safe and mutually respectful instructional environment
• Maintains professional and collegial behavior
• Maintains professional appearance as defined by the discipline and/or College procedure
• Completes all required employee trainings
• Knows and enforces FERPA guidelinesProvides ADA accommodations as requested
• Other duties as assigned
