Job summary

Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU) seeks qualified adjunct faculty in the College of Education to teach undergraduate and graduate courses across educator preparation programs. Instruction may be face-to-face, hybrid, or online and may occur on campus or at off-campus sites.

Adjunct faculty are expected to deliver high-quality instruction, develop syllabi, evaluate student learning, supervise field experiences, and contribute to accreditation efforts while partnering with mentors and school

Qualifications

Master's degree in the teaching discipline or closely related field with 18 graduate semester hours.
Doctorate preferred; valid Florida Educator Certificate or eligibility is desirable.
Experience teaching in higher education and online or hybrid courses.

Responsibilities

Teach assigned undergraduate and graduate courses in educator preparation programs.
Develop syllabi aligned with accreditation and state requirements.
Deliver instruction using evidence-based teaching practices.
Supervise field experiences and assess candidate learning using rubrics.
Maintain records in Canvas and provide timely feedback to students.
