Job summary

Florida Gulf Coast University is seeking qualified adjunct faculty to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in educator preparation programs leading to Florida educator certification, including but not limited to Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Secondary Mathematics Education, Secondary Biology Education, Secondary Social Science Education, and Exceptional Student Education.

Qualifications

Master's degree in the teaching discipline or a closely related field from a regionally accredited institution with at least eighteen (18) graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline.
Commitment to high-quality instruction and professional practice.
Willingness to teach across undergraduate and graduate educator preparation programs.

Responsibilities

Teach assigned undergraduate and graduate courses.
Develop and maintain course syllabi consistent with university, college, department, accreditation, and state requirements.
Provide coaching and reflective feedback designed to improve instructional practice.
Supervise teacher candidates in field experiences and clinical practice.
Collaborate with mentor teachers, school administrators, and school district partners.
