Job summary

Florida Gulf Coast University is seeking qualified adjunct faculty to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in educator preparation programs. Instruction may occur face-to-face, hybrid, online, laboratory, clinical, and field-based settings on the main campus or at off-campus instructional sites.

Adjunct faculty are expected to provide high-quality instruction, foster student success, model professionalism, and contribute to the preparation of effective educators.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in teaching or related field with 18 graduate hours in teaching.
• Preferred: earned doctorate in appropriate discipline.
• Certificate eligibility for Florida educator certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in educator preparation programs.
• Develop syllabi aligned with requirements and outcomes.
• Provide engaging materials and effective instruction with evidence-based practices.
• Evaluate student learning using rubrics and grading criteria.
• Supervise field experiences and provide coaching and feedback.
• Collaborate with mentors, schools, and university partners.
