Job summary

Motlow State Community College invites applications for an Adjunct Economics Faculty (Pool). This pool position will provide high-quality instruction across assigned economics courses at multiple campuses in middle Tennessee.

Faculty may teach up to 12 credit hours per semester and travel to area high schools for dual enrollment when assigned. Requirements include a Master’s degree in Economics or a related field (or 18 graduate hours in the discipline if the Master’s is in another field).

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Economics or a qualifying field by the application date.
• If Master’s in any field, 18 graduate hours in discipline/qualifying field by the application date.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses as assigned in line with the catalog and syllabus.
• Teach dual enrollment classes at area high schools; travel to multiple campuses as needed.
• Collaborate with faculty and leadership on curricular and program needs.
• Stay current with developments in economics and teaching methods and update instruction accordingly.
• Support curricular and co-curricular activities within the college.
• Teach up to 12 credit hours per semester; communicate with students regularly.
• Respond promptly to Dean’s requests and complete paperwork timely.
• Perform duties in accordance with TBR and MSCC policies.
