Job summary

Motlow State Community College is accepting applications for an Adjunct Chemistry Lab (pool) position. This pool position supports chemistry labs across campuses in middle Tennessee, teaching up to 12 credit hours per semester as assigned.

Minimum qualifications require a Bachelor’s degree in a science discipline from a regionally accredited institution by the appointment date. Previous teaching experience is preferred; travel to multiple campuses may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in a science discipline from a regionally accredited institution by the appointment date.
• Previous teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses as assigned in accordance with the catalog description and approved syllabus.
• Teach dual enrollment classes at area high schools as assigned; travel to multiple campuses.
• Collaborate collegially with faculty and leadership about curricular and programmatic issues.
• Stay current with developments in the discipline and incorporate updates into instruction.
• Support curricular and co-curricular activities within the college.
• Teach up to 12 credit hours per semester as assigned.
• Maintain availability to communicate with and meet students.
• Respond promptly to the Dean’s requests.
• Submit all requested paperwork timely and comply with policies.
• Other duties as assigned.
