Montgomery College is seeking a part-time adjunct faculty member to teach Communication Studies across the ELAP, Linguistics, and Communication Studies Department. The role involves delivering Intro to Human Communication courses, engaging students with collaborative learning, and using Blackboard and related tech to support instruction.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Human Communication or Communication Studies with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours.
• Experience teaching Introduction to Human Communication, Public Speaking, or Business and Professional Communication and other communication-related courses.
• Ability to integrate technology and classroom-related software including Blackboard for course delivery.
• Eligible applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States and require employer visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Teach Introduction to Human Communication courses.
• Teach a varied schedule including day, night, weekend and/or online or on another campus as needed.
• Teach sections of Introduction to Human Communication in area high schools as part of dual enrollment.
• Engage students through active collaborative learning approaches.
• Incorporate Blackboard and other educational technology into instruction.
• Apply culturally relevant pedagogies to the teaching and learning process.
