Job summary

ASDOH - Adjunct Faculty Simulation Clinic in Mesa, AZ is seeking non-exempt Adjunct Faculty to work part-time in the Simulation Clinic. The role involves instructing students in pre-clinical modules and simulated patient care; some Intro to Clinic work is possible.

The ideal candidate holds a DDS or DMD with an active Arizona license, is highly organized with strong communication, and has excellent general dentistry skills. Teaching experience is preferred; summers are closed.

Qualifications

• DDS or DMD with an active AZ dental license.
• Diplomacy is a must with great organization and communication skills.
• Must be highly skilled in general dentistry.
• At least 3 years experience in a dental teaching environment preferred.
• Preferred 3 years experience in private practice with student rotations.

Responsibilities

• Instruct and communicate with students during pre-clinical modules in the sim clinic; direct students in simulated patient treatment.
• Track students’ progress with course director and send progress reports.
• Attend lectures in the classroom with the students and all sim-clinic sessions.
• Assist in grading processes and enter/compute SOAP grades.
• Attend meetings to review procedures and training sessions for new tech/equipment.
• Attend lectures and instruct students in the sim clinic.
• Grading and attending clinical sessions with students.
