Job summary

Albright College invites applications for Adjunct Faculty to teach undergraduate English composition courses in a 7.5-week online format. Appointments may be made as Adjunct Faculty or Course Facilitators based on course needs and the instructional model.

We seek educators who can deliver engaging, asynchronous instruction, provide timely feedback, and foster an inclusive environment for adult learners, using a course blueprint model and experiential learning strategies.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in English or a closely related field.
• Experience teaching online, accelerated, asynchronous formats.
• Familiarity with D2L Brightspace is preferred.
• Strong communication, feedback, and student engagement skills.
• Professional or clinical experience preferred.

Appointments may be made as Adjunct Faculty or Course Facilitators based on course needs and the instructional model. SPS serves adult learners through flexible, career-relevant programs designed to support academic and professional success.

Potential Courses include:

• ENG 101 Composition
• ENG 102 Writing with Texts
• ENGL 125 Creative Writing

Key Responsibilities

• Comfort using experiential learning strategies (e.g., applied research, simulations, certifications, AI-supported activities) within a pre-designed course
• Strong communication, feedback, and student engagement skills
• Professional or clinical experience preferred
