Job summary

Moraine Valley Community College’s Counseling & Career Development Center is seeking adjunct/part-time counselors to provide a range of counseling services to support the academic, career, and personal growth of students across campus.

One position will be at the Education Center in Blue Island and the other at the Southwest Education Center in Tinley Park, funded under Illinois state act and subject to annual appropriation.

Qualifications

• Experience counseling diverse student populations.
• Academic training/experience with multicultural and linguistically diverse students.
• Fluency in more than one language encouraged, especially Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling to Moraine Valley students.
• Intervene with academically at-risk students.
• Consult with faculty and staff on student concerns.
• Attend to students in crisis and assist during financial emergencies.
• Facilitate workshops and support departmental programming.
