Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas seeks part-time adjunct instructors for the Computer Science department. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate classes as needed.
The ideal candidate must have a graduate-level degree and be qualified according to SACS guidelines. This role supports a collaborative learning environment alongside ethical principles in computer science.
Adjunct instructors are temporary, part-time instructors assigned to one or more classes per semester. Applications for this position will be collected and reviewed for open adjunct instructor positions in the future as needed. The Computer Science department prepares its students for professional employment and graduate education through study and implementation of the fundamental principles of theory, abstraction, and software design, while at the same time presenting the ethical and social issues associated with computer science. Physical Requirements: Standing for long periods while teaching.
