Job summary

The University of New Mexico Gallup Branch seeks qualified temporary adjunct faculty to teach lower-division Communications courses for Fall 2026, Spring 2027 and Summer 2027. Courses may be face-to-face or online, including COMM 1115, 1130, 1145, 1150, 1155, 2120, and 2121.

Positions depend on enrollment and are offered as part-time adjunct appointments. Wages are per three-credit course, currently $3,405.78 to $3,684.71.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Communications or related field.
• Doctorate in Communications or a related field (preferred).
• College-level teaching experience (preferred).
• Commitment to cultivate understanding of New Mexico cultures and to the university's mission.

Responsibilities

• Teach and/or develop lower division Communications courses (1000 and 2000 level).
• Meet with classes at assigned times, which may include evenings or weekends.
• Grade assignments and report grades; assess student learning as directed by the division chair.
