The University of New Mexico Gallup Branch invites applications for qualified temporary adjunct faculty to teach lower-division Communications courses. Courses may be face-to-face or online and run during Fall 2026, Spring 2027 and Summer 2027.

Instructors will prepare lessons, deliver content, assess student learning, and report grades under the division chair's guidance. Typical duties include meeting with the class, developing assignments, and adapting instruction to a diverse student body at

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Communications or related field required.
• Doctorate in Communications or related field preferred.
• College-level teaching experience preferred.
• Demonstrated commitment to diversity and service to local/global communities.

Responsibilities

• Teach lower-division Communications courses (1000/2000 level).
• Deliver face-to-face or online instruction as needed.
• Develop assignments, grade coursework, and report grades.
• Meet with classes at assigned times and participate in assessment of student learning.
