Hondros College of Nursing in Dayton, OH, seeks an Adjunct Clinical Faculty member to assist with the clinical component of its nursing program. The role emphasizes supervising students, evaluating their performance, and collaborating with faculty to implement course objectives.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) and possess at least three years of full-time clinical experience as an RN. Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a clinical setting are essential.
Adjunct Clinical Faculty members assist course Faculty in implementing the clinical component of a nursing program. In accordance with established nursing standards and the Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 4723-5-20, the Adjunct Clinical Faculty supervises student practice by providing guidance, direction and support appropriate to the clinical situation. S/he evaluates student performance in the clinical setting and provides feedback on the student’s performance to course faculty. Adjunct Clinical Faculty complete required clinical evaluation tools. Full‑time Clinical Faculty members participate as full members of Faculty Organization and Campus Curriculum Committees. Part‑time faculty may participate as members of Faculty Organization and Curriculum and are encouraged to do so. The Bylaws of the nursing program outline the voting privileges of part‑time Clinical Faculty. As a member of Faculty Organization, Clinical Faculty members are responsible and accountable for overall program outcomes.
