Job summary

Seattle University invites applications for part-time Adjunct Faculty in Biology for the 2026-27 academic year, starting in September 2026, January 2027, and March 2027. These positions are temporary replacements for current faculty on sabbatical leaves.

We seek instructors to teach introductory courses (BIOL 1610+1611, 1620+1621, 1630+1631), majors courses including genetics, anatomy and physiology, virology, and cell biology, and/or non-majors courses on cancer biology or global health.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching undergraduate biology courses.
• Commitment to undergraduate education and teaching excellence.

Responsibilities

• Teach introductory biology courses (BIOL 1610+1611, 1620+1621, 1630+1631) and majors courses such as genetics, anatomy and physiology, virology, and cell biology.
• Possible instruction of non-majors courses on cancer biology or global health based on expertise and departmental needs.
