Johnson County Community College's Art History and Humanities Department seeks an adjunct to teach one or more sections of ARTH 180 Ancient-Medieval Art History and/or ARTH 182 Renaissance-Modern Art History starting Spring 2027.

The appointment is Adjunct Assistant Professor, with an exempt status. A Master’s in Art History and strong communication skills are required; experience teaching Art History is preferred.

The Art History and Humanities Department at JCCC is looking to hire an adjunct to teach some art history courses starting Spring 2027.

Work Schedule, Hours per week: Monday, Wednesday and Friday, hours per week varies.

Opportunity for hybrid schedule: No

Starting Salary Range: AJCR $1,262-$1,404 per credit hour and in accordance with the adjunct table and determined based on relevant years of work experience provided on application and resume.

Position Summary: The Department of Art History and Humanities at Johnson County Community College is seeking an Adjunct Assistant Professor, Art History, to teach one or more sections of: ARTH: 180 Ancient-Medieval Art History and/or Teach one section of ARTH 182: Renaissance-Modern Art History.

Required Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Art History required.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills are required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Specialization in the area being taught is preferred.
• Experience teaching Art History is strongly preferred.
