Job summary

UNM-Los Alamos anticipates hiring temporary part-time faculty to teach online and/or face-to-face Art History courses at the 1000 or 2000 level. This is a continuous recruitment beginning in the Summer 2026 semester.

Adjunct instructors are responsible for all aspects of the class, including meeting times, content delivery, assignment development, grading, reporting grades, and assessing student learning as outlined by the Program Coordinator. Wages are $1,135.26 per credit hour.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a Master's Degree in the discipline or subfield and/or 18 graduate credits in the discipline.
• Preferred qualifications include teaching experience at a post-secondary institution, NM residency, online teaching experience, and a terminal degree.

Responsibilities

• Teach online and/or face-to-face Art History courses (1000/2000 level).
• Meet classes at scheduled times, deliver content, develop assignments, and grade work.
• Report grades and assess student learning as directed by the Program Coordinator/Department.
• Coordinate with the Department Coordinator and adhere to course offerings and enrollment needs.
