Job summary

University of New Mexico’s UNM-Los Alamos campus is seeking qualified temporary part-time faculty to teach Native American Studies courses online and/or in person. Positions are contingent on enrollment and course offerings and may be filled or elided each semester.

Preference given to candidates residing in New Mexico, with online or on-site teaching arrangements. Compensation is $1,135.26 per credit hour for adjunct faculty at UNM-Los Alamos.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in the discipline or related field.
• Successful completion of at least 18 graduate credit hours in the discipline or subfield.

Responsibilities

• Teach lower division Native American Studies courses.
• Meet with class during assigned times and deliver content.
• Develop assignments and grade coursework.
• Report grades and assess student learning as directed by the Program Coordinator.

Education

Master's degree in Native American Studies or related field
