Indian River State College is seeking a creative and student-centered Adjunct Instructor of Art Appreciation to inspire learners through engaging instruction and meaningful artistic exploration.

You will teach assigned Art Appreciation courses, evaluate student progress, provide timely feedback, and foster an inclusive learning environment that encourages creativity, critical thinking, and personal expression.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Art from a regionally accredited institution.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proven teaching skills with ability to convey concepts clearly.
• Understanding of online pedagogy and inclusive instruction.
• Must meet credentialing requirements for SACS.

Responsibilities

• Instructing assigned Art Appreciation classes
• Grading quizzes, tests, and written assignments
• Assigning final grades and providing grade justification
• Maintaining a safe and effective classroom environment
• Responding to student inquiries regarding course content and grading
• Collaborating with department colleagues as necessary
• Completing other duties and responsibilities as assigned
