Job summary

Bunker Hill Community College is seeking an Adjunct Faculty member to teach Arabic in the Global Languages Department. Courses ARB-101 and ARB-102 will be offered fully in-person on BHCC's Charlestown and/or Chelsea campuses.

Qualifications include a Master’s or PhD in Arabic or related field, evidence of culturally responsive pedagogy, and experience teaching Elementary Arabic I and II. Prior community college teaching is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or Ph.D. in Arabic or related field.
• Experience teaching ARB-101 (Elementary Arabic I) and ARB-102 (Elementary Arabic II).
• Evidence of engagement in culturally responsive pedagogies.
• Experience with high-impact teaching and learning practices (e.g., undergraduate research, community engagement).
• Proven ability to work with a diverse faculty, staff, and student population.

Responsibilities

• Teach ARB-101 and ARB-102 in-person on BHCC campus.
• Prepare and deliver engaging course materials for Arabic courses.
• Assess student learning and provide timely feedback.
• Collaborate with the Global Languages Department to support student success.
