Job summary

Duraco Specialty Materials is seeking a Technical Specialist to lead and support technical innovation, laboratory testing, and product development. You will collaborate with manufacturing, quality, sales, and customer service to meet customer requirements and drive performance.

You will design test methods, analyze data, prepare technical reports, and maintain lab procedures. This role requires hands-on PSA adhesive formulation experience, strong problem-solving, and clear cross-functional

Qualifications

Strong technical background and willingness to continually learn.
Experience formulating PSA or adhesive formulations.
Understanding adhesive performance: tack, peel, shear, viscosity, solids, coatability.
Detail-oriented, accurate, thorough, quality-focused.
Strong problem-solving and data-evaluation skills.
Clear communication with cross-functional teams.
Laboratory testing and product development experience.
Proficient with database, design, project management, spreadsheet, and word processing software.

Responsibilities

Lead and support technical innovation and product development from concept to commercialization.
Plan, conduct, document laboratory testing, evaluations, trials, and experiments.
Design and execute test methods to evaluate material performance and customer requirements.
Analyze data and provide technical recommendations based on findings.
Prepare technical reports and project summaries for management and teams.
Interpret drawings, specifications, formulas, and customer requirements for testing.
Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, sales, purchasing, and customer service.
Develop and maintain lab procedures, test methods, and documentation.
Coordinate laboratory trials, pilot runs, and production-scale validation.
Investigate issues and perform root cause analysis.
Create and distribute hand samples and test materials for customers and suppliers.
Ensure laboratory equipment is calibrated and maintained.
Assist production with technical troubleshooting and process support.
