Job summary

Groves Academy is seeking a part-time ADHD & EF Coach to provide evaluation and coaching for students in grades 1–12 with ADHD and executive functioning challenges. You will develop goals, plan tailored lessons, and monitor progress to support academic, social, and emotional growth.

The role requires firsthand experience with intake, data collection, and collaboration with families and external providers. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years working with school-aged children with ADHD/executive functioning challenges as an educator, learning specialist, therapist, counselor, coach, speech-language pathologist, occupational therapist, etc.
  • One-on-one or small-group instruction experience is a plus
  • ADHD or life coaching certification (in progress or completed) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one ADHD/EF Coaching using evidence-based practices.
  • Conduct intake interviews and initial assessments and meet with families to review results and recommendations.
  • Differentiate instruction based on students’ individual needs.
  • Communicate openly and frequently with students’ parents/guardians regarding student progress, scheduling, academic and/or social/emotional concerns.
  • Provide recommendations for continued coaching and/or discharge from services based on progress to students’ parents/guardians
  • When provided with written permission from students’ parents/guardians, communicate about student progress and/or collaborate with the students’ outside providers (teachers, SPED team, therapist, etc)
  • Check GLO email daily and respond in a timely manner to all communication from internal staff (manager, operations, etc)
  • Schedule all sessions in Salesforce prior to the first session date of the coaching package.
  • Check-in all sessions in Salesforce on the day they occurred.
  • Log all time worked in Paycor each day.
  • Attend all required meetings and trainings, including all required safety and professional development trainings.
  • Continue to develop professional knowledge of ADHD Coaching, learning disabilities, communication disorders other areas of diagnoses relative to clients who exhibit challenges with attention and executive functioning through attendance at conferences, workshops, in-service meetings, and reading professional journals.

Reporting To: ADHD & Executive Functioning Coach Manager

Employment Status: Part-time, Year-Round

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt, Hourly

Pay: $40.00/hour

Summary Of Core Responsibilities & Org Relationships:

The ADHD & EF Coach at Groves Academy is responsible for evaluation and coaching for students grades 1-12 (sometimes college students) with ADHD and executive functioning challenges. Develop and implement appropriate goals and objectives that meet the needs of each individual. Job requirements include consistently acting in a kind and respectful manner that positively impacts the communicative, academic, social and emotional success of every person that you are working with.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Service Delivery
    • Provide one-on-one ADHD/EF Coaching using evidence-based practices
    • Conduct intake interviews and initial assessments and meet with families to review results and recommendations
    • Differentiate instruction based on students’ individual needs
  • Communication
    • Communicate openly and frequently with students’ parents/guardians regarding student progress, scheduling, academic and/or social/emotional concerns.

  • Lesson Planning & Paperwork
    • Prepare initial assessments for all new students.
    • Plan lessons that are tailored to student’s specific needs.
    • Print, copy, and prep any lesson plan materials before a student arrives.
    • Take data and keep notes during sessions in order to modify and prepare plans for the next session as well as monitor student progress.
    • Continuously monitor progress
    • Keep lesson plans and materials organized and easily accessible.
    • Provide multimodal instruction whenever possible taking into consideration individual strengths and weaknesses to allow every person the opportunity to reach his or her full potential.
  • Administrative duties
    • Schedule all sessions in Salesforce prior to the first session date of the coaching package.
    • Check-in all sessions in Salesforce on the day they occurred.
    • Log all time worked in Paycor each day.
  • Trainings and Meetings
    • Attend all required meetings and trainings, including all required safety and professional development trainings.
    • Continue to develop professional knowledge of ADHD Coaching, learning disabilities, communication disorders other areas of diagnoses relative to clients who exhibit challenges with attention and executive functioning through attendance at conferences, workshops, in-service meetings, and reading professional journals.
Secondary Responsibilities
  • Communicate with faculty, staff, leadership, administration, community members, and students in person, by phone, e-mail and in writing. Respond to all inquiries within one to two business days.
  • Complete professional projects and complete various professional tasks as requested by the ADHD/Executive Functioning Coaching Manager or Director of Learning Center Individualized Programs.

Job Specifications:

Education, Experience, and Credentials

Physical Requirements Necessary to Perform This Job
  • Hear, speak, and effectively communicate in the English language, including following oral and written instructions, in order to communicate with people inside and outside the organization
  • Sit or stand at a desk for extended periods of time and perform long hours of work sitting at a computer and in meetings
  • Apply manual dexterity and visual acuity for computer keyboarding and office equipment use, and review detailed reports and information
  • Move around the school and office or classroom area repeatedly or prolonged times throughout the day.
  • Work a flexible schedule, including attending and presenting at events and meetings that occur outside of typical work hours as required/scheduled

  • Must be able to lift/move up to 10-35 pounds occasionally depending on your position
